komuno is growing

Susan Niederhöfer hands over baton to Thomas Eitenmüller

Frankfurt am Main, 3 July 2020: Susan Niederhöfer, Managing Director of komuno, the digital platform for municipal loans, is on maternity leave from July 2020. With mixed emotions, she hands over her tasks to Thomas Eitenmüller: "Thomas is the ideal successor." says Susan Niederhöfer. "We worked well together for many years before the komuno foundation and I am sure that he will continue to take komuno on its growth trajectory. The foundation of komuno GmbH and its expansion into one of the most important municipal credit platforms in Germany was for me the most exciting and intensive phase of my career. Now I'm looking forward to the next chapter."

Thomas Eitenmüller succeeds Susan Niederhöfer with immediate effect and now heads komuno GmbH together with Robert Wassmer. Prior to that, he was a Managing Partner at Lucht Probst Associates GmbH (LPA) since the company was founded 20 years ago. His focus was on technology-based capital market solutions (CapTech) for banks, savings banks and insurance companies. He was in charge of sales and acquisitions as well as the development of a trading and risk platform for the brokerage business of savings banks. He coordinated LPA's municipal debt diagnosis and the resulting analysis and risk management software for credit portfolios. During the early years of his career, at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Commerzbank AG, he was responsible for the development and distribution of interest rate risk management products for corporate and municipal customers.

Philipp Kaiser, Managing Director of Helaba Digital, and Stefan Lucht, Founder and Managing Director of LPA, agree: "Thomas will take further the successful development of komuno. The departure of Susan Niederhöfer leaves a gap, which we are convinced Thomas will fill. We look forward to working together."
